We awarded 3 students for their outstanding achievements during their projects conducted under IAIK supervision during 2013.
- The prize in the category “Best IAIK Bachelor Thesis 2013” went to Felix Hörandner for his thesis with the title “Secure Cloud Storage Using the SkyTrust System”.
- The prize in the category “Best IAIK Internship 2013” went to Timotheus Hell for his work on “Setting up the Synthesis Competition”.
- The prize in the category “Best IAIK Master Thesis 2013” went to Wolfgang Wieser for his thesis with the title “Repairing Boomerang Characteristics”.
My colleague Manuel Schallar has done the following nice photos showing Roderick Bloem and the 3 winners:
We congratulate the winners. And we hope they like their prizes.
Congrats to all the winners! 🙂
I find the idea of receiving a price a little discouraging. Am I willingly taking a chance at submitting myself into slavery by starting a thesis at the IAIK? A prize, on the other hand, might be a motivating reward.
Thank you for this comment. It took me some time to understand it. I now took the liberty to change the spelling in my post from “price” to “prize”. But yes: Sometimes you need to pay for getting a prize. In German we have lost the sensibility when we talk about “Preis”. Most often you give and hopefully every now and then you get.
